About

Eric Yang is a filmmaker based in Brooklyn, New York. He has a degree in Film Directing from the prestigious American Film Institute Conservatory, where he honed his skills and developed his artistic vision. In 2021 and 2022, he received honorable mention by The Russo Brothers (AVENGERS: ENDGAME) for their annual short film competition, No Sleep Til Film Fest. His screenplay, BREATHE, was a semi-finalist at the Rhode Island International Film Festival.

Eric’s short films have screened at the Oscar-qualifying Pan African Film Festival, HollyShorts Film Festival, New York's 46th Asian American International Film Festival, Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, and  HBO’s New York Latino Film Festival.

In addition to Eric’s filmmaking pursuits, his passion for visual storytelling extends to photography. In 2021, his photography was featured in a special exhibit at the Foley Gallery in Manhattan. Being able to evoke emotions and convey powerful messages through visual art is a fulfilling and integral part of Eric’s creative expression.
